Company History
Nicole Gardner left her big-firm employment law practice in 2008 to start her own firm. Nicole’s goal was to provide the same exceptional quality of legal work offered by large law firms, but in a smaller setting that offers true partnerships with executives and businesses. Her focus was on pragmatism and value.
In response to Gardner Skelton’s growing reputation and client base, the firm expanded its team and practice areas in 2013, including recruiting Nicole’s husband, Jared Gardner, who was a partner with one of Charlotte’s most renowned litigation firms. Heather Skelton also joined in 2013, bringing with her years of experience in the healthcare industry and deep knowledge in a niche area of legal compliance for independent medical, surgical, and other healthcare practices. Since then, Gardner Skelton has added additional partners in litigation, corporate and tax law, as well as a dozen more talented lawyers and staff members.
By design, Gardner Skelton provides a comprehensive legal team of knowledgeable, talented attorneys in multiple fields. Gardner Skelton has grown steadily, but not for the sake of growth. For Gardner Skelton, it’s not about bigger. It’s about excellent service to the people and businesses who trust us with their legal needs.
