We are a Lafayette boutique law firm specializing in plaintiff’s medical malpractice litigation that also handles trucking, auto crashes, and other professional liability matters. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury files from start through trial. Minimum 3 year’s experience. Must be a team player, able to work with minimal supervision, but also able to work with oversight. Must understand timeliness requirements and appropriately respond. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong ethical and professional standards.

Responsibilities include:

- Meetings and communications with clients;
- Review, investigate, and build case; 
- Drafting Pleadings and Motions; Draft Discovery
- Legal research and writing;
- Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, adjusters, and medical providers;
- Maintain effective communication with clients, adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, the court, and internal team members to efficiently and effectively resolve cases;
- Draft settlement demands;
- Review of medical records;
- Serve as legal counsel on clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, and depositions;
- Multi-task. We handle numerous assignments at one time and be able to determine priority.
